At the European Elections of 2014 Ι was elected first Member of the European Parliament with Nea Demokratia and Ι joined the European People’s Party.

As a MEP, I am a member of the Committees on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and on Regional Development (REGI), as well as a member of the EU-FYROM Joint Parliamentary Committee.

I am the Spokesperson of Nea Demokratia and an elected member of the Nea Demokratia Executive Board.

I have worked for 22 years as a journalist in the private sector.
